Tracey Lamont, Project Director
Tracey Lamont, Ph.D. is Director of the Loyola Institute for Ministry and Associate Professor of Religious Education and Young Adult Ministry. Her teaching reflects Thomas Berry’s vision of the universe as God’s creative expression and his belief that the universe is humanity’s primary teacher—inviting us to learn from the natural world how to fulfill our role in the cosmic story. With her expertise and experience, she helps guide the Thomas Berry Project in advancing its mission and sharing Berry’s enduring legacy.
Kathleen O'Gorman
Kathleen O'Gorman, Ed.D. is Professor Emerita of the Loyola Institute for Ministry. She played a key role in bringing Thomas Berry to lecture and teach at LIM, forming a close friendship with him through their shared intellectual and spiritual interests. Integrating Berry’s thought into her own work, Kathleen developed the Institute’s Religion and Ecology focus area and designed the courses offered within it. Her deep engagement with Thomas’s work—and her personal connection to him—make her a wisdom figure who guides this project with a profound understanding of Berry’s vision.
Carol Lenox
Carol Lenox, M.P.S., is a graduate of the Loyola Institute for Ministry, where she studied under Dr. Kathleen O’Gorman. She has worked as an environmental researcher in North Carolina and is especially interested in the connection between spirituality and the experience of the natural world—a theme she explores in her article on Thomas Merton, "The Exterior Silence of the Forest—Merton’s Guidance for Environmentalists.” Carol is the author of the Engagement Guides accompanying the Thomas Berry videos on this website and has developed a series of creation-centered retreats based on his lectures and interviews.
