Mission and Vision

Mission

Rooted in the Jesuit Catholic tradition and inspired by the vision of Thomas Berry, we recognize that humanity belongs to a living, interconnected, and emergent universe in which all life is sacred and creation itself is revelatory and sacramental.

We devote ourselves to awakening and educating the human community toward a creation-centered consciousness by cultivating embodied ways of knowing, contemplative practice, ecological responsibility, and reverent relationship with Creator, Earth, and all beings.

Through the stewardship and activation of Berry’s legacy, we seek to inspire imagination, conscience, and action that participate in Earth’s healing and renewal, nurturing communities capable of living as a mutually enhancing presence within the Earth community.

Vision

We envision a flourishing Earth community in which humans live with reverence, reciprocity, and responsibility within a sacred and evolving cosmos—recognizing all life as interconnected, spirit-filled, and sacramental.

Guided by the hope of an Ecozoic future, we seek a world in which human cultures, institutions, and ways of living honor the integrity, resilience, and beauty of Earth and foster life-giving relationships among Creator, Earth, and all beings.

We envision communities awakened to the understanding that salvation and healing are inseparable from our relationship with the living Earth, and that humanity’s vocation is to participate consciously in the ongoing unfolding of the universe through compassion, contemplation, justice, and care for all life.
